March 17, farmer and UW professor Eli Wheat
March 24, Adam Houston / Potluck Lunch

Eating is one of the most direct ways we connect with God’s creation, and most of us do it at least three times a day. This Adult Education course is taking place over four Sundays, 2/3, 2/17, 3/17 and 3/24. On March 17, farmer and UW professor Eli Wheat will be coming in to share insights on how farmers can draw down carbon, grow food, and improve rural livelihoods. The classes focus on exploring some of the less visible aspects of our daily bread. We will be learning about and discussing food production and its environmental impacts, as well as food distribution, inequality, and hunger. The final meeting will focus on creating personal action plans for navigating our relationship with our food system, and will take place around a potluck style lunch. The course will have one to two short readings or videos every week to prepare for discussion. They shouldn’t take more than an hour to complete. Everyone is invited to participate and share their ideas and perspectives! Email me at adambhouston@gmail.com if you have more questions. -Adam Houston
