Maple Leaf Lutheran, Sand Point United Methodist, Wedgwood Community, and Wedgwood Presbyterian churches are once again joining together in a project to support people in our community.

Over the next few weeks, we will be collecting financial donations to use to buy bulk food for the clients of North Helpline. We will be packing that food into bags that are the right size for the clients of the food bank. In the past, we’ve packed rice and coffee, but we will coordinate our food order in consultation with the foodbank, so we are providing what is most needed at that time.

On Sunday, May 22nd at 11:30, we will join together in packing the food. The packing party will take place in our building with members of the other congregations joining us. There is also a need for a few volunteers on Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 when we will be picking up supplies at North Helpline and picking up food.

This is a service project that can be done by people of all ages and abilities and we hope you will join!
