We invite you to join us in supporting people in our community who are experiencing food insecurity. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be gathering donations to buy food in bulk for the clients of North Helpline. The food bank usually requests things like rice, pasta, and ground coffee – coffee is always in high demand! You may make a donation for the purchase of the food by cash or check via the Sunday offering or US Mail – please be sure to mark you check or envelope “North Helpline” or “packing party” so we direct your gift to the right cause. You may also use our online giving platform – instructions are in the newsletter, the emailed/mailed bulletin, and in the pew rack. Deadline for your gift (or pledge of a gift) is April 19th which gives us time to order the food.
On Sunday, April 26th after the worship service, we welcome you to join us in the Fireside Room to pack the food. This is a service project that can be done by people of all ages and abilities. We hope you’ll join us!
