The heart of our church was on full display this past weekend as our community gathered for the Packing Party—a simple act of service that became a beautiful expression of Christ’s love in motion. From Friday’s setup to Sunday’s joyful packing, every crate lifted and every bag filled carried the fingerprints of God’s grace working through His people.
During last week, helping hands arrived to unload crates, bins, and supplies, transforming the Fireside Room into a bustling workshop of compassion. Then on Sunday, after worship, people of all ages and abilities came together to pack food for neighbors in need.
And what a sight it was to watch those packed boxes being driven away, on a scorching hot day, filled not only with food, but with the love, laughter, and blessing poured in by every set of hands. It felt like watching God’s grace hitch a ride to wherever those meals will land. Those boxes didn’t just hold food—they held prayers, kindness, and the quiet strength of a community living out the Gospel.
Moments like these remind us that when we serve together, Christ multiplies our efforts. Christian service doesn’t always have to be solemn–it can be playful, communal, and full of delight. When we show up together, Christ shows up through us, turning simple acts into sacred ones. What begins as a simple project becomes a testimony of hope. Thank you to everyone who came, lifted, packed, encouraged, and blessed. Your hands reflected the hands of Christ—open, generous, and ready to serve.
